Suzanne Mehaffey, born and raised in Texas, began her higher education journey at Texas A&M University, earning a degree in Poultry Science. Suzanne began her nursing career in 2007 as an LVN and chose her wound care path. Soon after, she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. As a registered nurse, she continued to develop her wound care skills and education level. Still, she strived for more, becoming a Nurse Practitioner with certifications in wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Suzanne has honed her skills in nursing homes, longterm acute care facilities, home health, hospice, acute inpatient hospitals, and clinics; still striving everyday to learn through research and experience. In her free time, Suzanne loves attending every Aggie sporting event possible with her family. She also enjoys working with the family’s livestock and watching her children learn and grow through 4-H.
